I am quite excited about the new TV that Katie and I got each other for Christmas. It’s a good mix of economy and class, because we just didn’t need the top of the line. And, did you know that you can get HDTV off of rabbit ears these days?! Hey, the economy might be in recession, but there’s still extremely good quality television to be had for the price of $0. As I watched the rain pour down and the steam pump out of the mouths of the entire defensive line of the Steelers last Sunday, I knew we had made a good choice this Christmas.
ANYWAY, on to the main point of the post. Our TV has a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and it’s about as good as I can imagine. But 1,000,000:1?????? Now that’s something. Good thing I don’t really care too much.

I found your site on Google and read a few of your other entires. Nice Stuff. I’m looking forward to reading more from you.
welcome to the glorious world of HD. now all you need is a blu-ray player (read: ps3) and a cheap netflix plan.
Yeah, good luck on those two. I am considering an Upconvert DVD player in the meantime.
That’ll work.
